Privacy Policy

Localistic (localistic.app) is a set of free tools for game developers, made and run by Murad Elboudy from Egypt. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the site, by whom, and what you can do about it.

The short version

• Your files are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to any server, and we never see them.
• There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no forms.
• We use Google Analytics to count visits, and Google AdSense to show ads that keep the site free. Both use cookies.

Your files

Every tool on Localistic (image, 3D model and audio tools) runs locally on your device using your browser's own features, such as Web Workers and WebGL. The files you open, and everything the tools create from them, stay in your browser's memory. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are gone when you close or leave the page, unless you download the results yourself.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which tools are popular and which pages people visit. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (country or city). It uses cookies (such as _ga) to recognize returning visitors. We do not send your files, file names or any tool results to Google Analytics.

Advertising

Localistic is kept free by ads served by Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Learn more in Google's advertising policy. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalized ads are shown.

Donations (Ko-fi)

The "Support Localistic" button is provided by Ko-fi and is loaded from Ko-fi's servers, so Ko-fi receives basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type. If you choose to donate, the payment is handled by Ko-fi and its payment providers under Ko-fi's privacy policy. We never see your card or payment details.

Data stored in your browser

Besides the cookies above, Localistic itself saves only one small value in your browser's local storage: a note that you have dismissed the "Localistic is free and kept alive by ads" message, so it doesn't show again. It contains no personal information, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) may automatically keep standard server logs, which include your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type. These are used for security and to keep the site running, and are not combined with any other data.

Emails

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your email with anyone.

Children

Localistic is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to object to how it is used. Because we don't run accounts or store your files, we hold almost no personal data ourselves. For data collected by Google Analytics and AdSense, you can use the opt-out links above, or contact us and we will help where we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes, for example when new tools or services are added. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
